Tarot readers in Seattle: what to expect
Reference ranges from our published rate data. Each reader sets their own rates.
Seattle events stay indoors most of the year — Capitol Hill lounges, Ballard event spaces, Fremont studios — with a short but busy outdoor season in July and August. October and December are the peak party months. Many venues run dim, so warm table lighting is worth planning for card readings.
Popular event areas include Capitol Hill, Ballard, Fremont, Queen Anne.

Common Questions
Hiring a Tarot Reader in Seattle
How much does a tarot reader cost in Seattle?
As a general guide, professional tarot card readers in Seattle typically charge $100 to $250 per hour depending on experience, event length, and the number of guests. A two-hour minimum usually works well for parties of up to 15–20 guests. Exact rates are set by each reader.
How long does a tarot reading take at a party?
Individual readings at events run 10–15 minutes per guest. This is intentionally shorter than a private session. The format is experiential and conversational rather than exhaustive. For groups of 20 or more, consider booking two readers running simultaneously to keep wait times comfortable.
How many guests can one reader see?
A skilled event tarot reader typically sees 4–6 guests per hour at a party pace. For a three-hour evening event with 30 guests, booking two readers ensures every guest receives a personal reading without a long queue. Reader profiles include a guests-per-hour estimate.
What are the setup requirements?
Most readers require a small table (folding or cafe-style), two chairs, and adequate lighting: a candle or warm lamp works beautifully. Some bring their own decor. Setup and breakdown typically add 20–30 minutes each side of the booking. Always confirm specific requirements when you contact the reader.
Can I book a reader last minute in Seattle?
Four to eight weeks ahead for normal weekends. October dates, December holiday parties and New Year's Eve book out earliest, often two to three months ahead. Short notice in Seattle?
