Planning tarot for a birthday party
Milestone birthdays — 30th, 40th, 50th — are where a tarot reader lands best: the night already has a reflective, year-ahead theme, and a reading gives every guest a personal moment inside the party. The guest of honor goes first, and the reader theming readings around “the year ahead” turns the whole booking into part of the celebration.
For home parties, set the reader up in a side room or quiet corner — close enough to feel like part of the party, far enough that readings stay private. A two-hour booking covers a party of 8–12 comfortably at 10–15 minutes per reading; bigger parties should either extend the booking or treat readings as first-come.
Budget-wise a typical two-hour booking runs $250–$700 depending on your city — comparable to a photo booth, but it produces conversation instead of props. If the group skews skeptical, tell the reader: experienced party readers read for skeptics every weekend and keep it playful.
