Four to eight weeks ahead for normal weekends. October dates, December holiday parties and New Year's Eve book out earliest, often two to three months ahead. For a short-notice event, send an inquiry anyway: many readers keep some weeknight availability open.

Often, yes. Many readers based in Salt Lake City take bookings across Utah, usually with a travel fee once the venue is beyond their home area. Mention your venue location and date in your first message so the reader can confirm travel and quote accurately.
